Supporting Thoughtful Technology Adoption
We believe artificial intelligence should serve people and organisations, not the other way around.
Back to HomeOur Story
Meridiq began in 2018 when a group of technology practitioners and educators in Kuala Lumpur recognised a gap in how organisations were approaching artificial intelligence. Too often, companies and institutions were either hesitant to explore these tools at all, or rushing into implementations without considering whether they genuinely served their needs.
The founding team brought together backgrounds in machine learning, instructional design, organisational development, and change management. What united them was a belief that technology adoption works best when it starts with understanding the specific context and goals of the organisation, rather than following trends or vendor recommendations.
Over the past several years, we've worked with businesses across manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, and education sectors. We've supported universities in rethinking curriculum delivery, helped growing companies streamline their operations, and advised leadership teams on building sustainable AI strategies.
What remains consistent across all these engagements is our commitment to clarity, practicality, and respect for the humans involved in any transformation. We measure our work not by how many systems we implement, but by how well those systems serve the people using them and whether organisations feel genuinely empowered to continue evolving independently.

Our team participates in ongoing professional development and stays current with developments in both technology and organisational change practices.
Transparent Communication
We communicate in plain language, explain technical concepts accessibly, and set realistic expectations about what different approaches can and cannot achieve.
Ethical AI Principles
We consider potential impacts on all stakeholders when recommending AI implementations, including employees, customers, and communities affected by decisions.
Long-term Partnership
Our goal is to build organisational capability rather than create dependency. We document our work thoroughly and transfer knowledge to internal teams.
What Guides Our Work
Context Matters More Than Trends
We start every engagement by understanding the specific circumstances, constraints, and aspirations of the organisation we're working with. What works well for one company or institution may not suit another, even in the same sector. Our recommendations reflect this understanding rather than following what happens to be popular at the moment.
Technology Serves People
Artificial intelligence systems should make work more effective and satisfying for the humans using them. When we evaluate potential implementations, we consider not just efficiency gains but also how the change will affect daily experience, skill development, and job satisfaction. If a solution doesn't genuinely serve the people it's meant to help, we say so.
Sustainable Change Takes Time
Meaningful organisational change happens through understanding and adaptation, not through rushing implementation. We favour phased approaches that give teams time to learn, adjust, and build confidence with new systems. Quick wins matter, but they should support rather than replace thoughtful long-term development.
Clarity Creates Capability
We explain things in language that makes sense to the people we're working with. Technical jargon creates barriers rather than understanding. When team members genuinely comprehend how and why systems work, they're better equipped to use them effectively, troubleshoot issues, and suggest improvements.
